Queen of Arabian sea... WoW

Yea... I'm talking about Cochin!!!

WoW :) the city is more than what I expected

Moved from Chennai (ggrrrr.. was trying to get out for almost 3yrs) to Cochin on the last day of Feb 2009. Even though I am Malayalee, I Didn't traveled much in Kerala before, as I worked mostly outside Kerala. Due to my sickness in Jan 09, I selected Cochin... as a part of my job change otherwise I would have missed this opportunity too...

Cochin got everything which other cities in India offers you... Shopping Malls, high storied buildings/apartments, Good roads (yea sometimes traffic too......) apart from these Cochin is Clean & Green!!!

Here are some of the specialties about Cochin...
City: Ernakulam and Fort Cochin are pretty good. All sorts of People roaming here... Right from the Malayalee localities to the people from other states and foreigners too… The city goes to bed by 10pm and by 11pm she will be slept…. :( Another peculiar thing I found here is the workers in hotels/construction companies are mostly from North-east :( ..... where the local workers gone??? Gulf countries or other states? huh
Food: This city is very good option for the non-veggies! Right from Thattukadas to five star hotels.... you will get very good food here! Sea foods are something special to try!
Streets: This is amazing, even the small/narrow roads were named and it will be written at the entrance of the road. Also you can see the layout diagrams of the colonies at its entrance. This is missing in many cities and this will make your search comfortable :-)
Autos: Superb... less cheating when compares to other cities and pretty decent (first Impression)
Buses: Small buses (3/4 in size) and the driving is soooo rash that you need to hold the bars at all the time! Also they will ride so nicely in narrow roads... perfectly!!! Looking for an adventurous drive... then pls get in a city bus!
Boats: Boats service is very very cheap.... 15mins drive from Marine drive to Fort Cochin is Rs.3 only. Even in the ferry (even heavy vehicles is being moved in this) from Fort Cochin to Vypin is same or less!
Bullets: On roads on every 10 bikes you can see a Bullet! It’s really nice to altered bullets and wish I should have 1 soon...

Here is something which I required/Needed @ Cochin...
